THE MAISON ROUGE CELLAR
Maison Rouge produces wines of character, crafted by a close-knit and motivated team working across various sectors: vineyard, cellar, administration and sales. We exclusively vinify our own production from our 18 hectares spread between Sierre and Leytron.
Our philosophy can be summed up in 4 words: Authenticity, finesse, tribute and sharing.
AUTHENTICITY OF GRAPE VARIETIES
For each grape variety, we select the plot with the most suitable terroir and microclimate. This work continues in the cellar to faithfully express each variety's unique characteristics. This quest for authenticity is the pride of our winemaking estate.
FINESSE OF THE VINTAGES
The vinification process is finely adapted to each vintage: maceration duration, fermentation temperature and barrel selection. Everything is done to bring out the elegance and beauty of our wines, even if it means caring for them for 8 to 10 years (oak-aged reserve wines). The result is a wide range of high-quality wines, solid and full-bodied vintages of character that will delight your palate.
A TRIBUTE TO THE VALAIS TERROIR
Both a nod and a testimony to the terroir and the history of the canton, our creations bear names drawn from the Valais dialect. Ripened on the sun-drenched rocky slopes of Batasse and Molignon, these creations pay tribute to the builders of these terraced vineyards supported by imposing dry stone walls. And to truly sign these unique works, we mark them with the seal of an anonymous stonemason, a cathedral builder.
SHARING A PASSION
Maison Rouge is also a training company. Its mission is to transmit and share the knowledge and passion for wine with several apprentices placed under its responsibility. These young people are entrusted with responsibilities. They have the opportunity to live enriching experiences and create their own apprentice wine.
